Happy Tuesday, everybody!

Over the weekend, I did some shopping at HomeGoods and bought the most beautiful pink vintage plates. I’m so excited to bust them out during tea parties and outdoor gatherings this spring and summer!

It got me thinking on how much I’ve been loving cottagecore decor recently, especially when it comes to the kitchen. I’ve always been a fan of a rustic farmhouse kitchen, but how fun would it be to create a cottagecore kitchen?!

I’m hoping to either get my own apartment or buy a townhome sometime in the next year. While I’ve always been a fan of modern kitchens, I’ve recently become obsessed with French country and cottagecore designs. There’s something just so cozy and homey about country & cottagecore decor that makes me feel calm and happy.

So what exactly is a cottagecore kitchen? Rooted in the nostalgia of country living, a cottagecore kitchen embraces wooden elements, delicate florals, vintage furniture, and old-fashioned decor. It’s a charming little corner of your house that will make you want to slow down and enjoy life’s simple pleasures – with a loaf of fresh bread, some homemade jam, and cup of warm tea!

Don’t worry – you don’t have to purchase a cottage or a country farmhouse to get this look. With a few changes, you can turn your home or apartment into a cozy, cottagecore dreamhouse!

Here are 30 cottagecore kitchen ideas to help you create a cozy, vintage retreat in your house!

1. Open-Wood Shelving

One of the things I’ve really started loving lately in the kitchen are open wooden shelves. They give a rustic look to the kitchen and also allow me to show off my cutest kitchen decor. Win, win in my opinion!

You can choose from reclaimed wood or polished oak – the former will give you more of a vintage look whereas the latter will look more modern. So it’s totally up to your style. Add vintage plates, ceramic bowls, glass jars filled with grains, and woven baskets to complete a cottagecore look!

These natural wood surfaces not only provide a sturdy and durable workspace but also develop a rich patina over time, making them even more charming as the years go by. Wooden countertops pair beautifully with white cabinetry, floral wallpaper, and vintage accents.

3. Vintage-Inspired Apron Sink

An apron sink is a deep & wide sink that pops out slightly past the cabinets. Modern sinks can sometimes be small and difficult for washing dishes – but an apron sink will provide plenty of space for cooking & cleaning.

A glossy white sink is what I typically prefer, but copper or metallic sinks can provide more of a rustic, old-world feel. Plus, I love the way that white sinks pair with wooden countertops to create a bright, vibrant kitchen!
